Getting Real "Getting Real" is a 28-minute drama depicting the life of a young northern Aboriginal girl who lives with her mother and stepfather and is learning to detect the signs of violence, both in her family and amongst her closest friends. "Sam" is motivated to seek information and assistance about how she can help both her mother and her friend in order to prevent violence from further affecting their lives. "Getting Real" was produced entirely in Yukon as part of a public education campaign on violence prevention.
